Thank you for visiting our eco-policy. We are striving to reduce our business’ impact on the environment by adhering to a few simple guidelines.
- Mama Goddess is proud to carry Organic, Sweat Shop free and Fairly Traded teas, chocolate and fabrics in our store.
- We are also committed to using 100% Recycled and organic products wherever possible. What this means is that we re-use every box that brings our products in through our doors, sending them back out again to you!
- We also shred all of our already recycled paper that comes out of the office to reduce waste and recycle it again.
- All of the bottles we use to package our aromatherapy line, are made from Recycled plastic,so you can pop them into your bin once they are empty!
- Working from home also allows us the ability to lift our carbon footprint off of the planet just that little bit more, there is no fuel involved {Unless you count coffee} as we walk up the stairs to the office every morning! At Mama Goddess it is our mission to carry as many “locally made” products as possible, and to make sure that the products we do bring in from other parts of Canada and the US, fit out policy of being Sweat Shop free and as Organic as possible. This means less fuel needed to get products from there to here. Some of our suppliers even deliver on bike!
Mama Goddess is a proud member of the “Organic Consumers Association”:

We have taken the Safe Consumers pledge!
Mama Goddess Birth Shop has signed the pledge for ‘The Campaign For Safe Cosmetics’. We have promised NOT to use chemicals that are known or are strongly suspected of causing cancer, mutation or birth defects. Visit SafeCosmetics.org for more info!!
What does Sweat Shop Free mean?
Using sweat shop free products means that the people hired to assist in the production of the product, as in cutting sewing and general making of it, are paid a decent hourly wage and are not made to work under extreme conditions. These workers are given hourly breaks and holidays like everyone else. Mama Goddess was concerned about was the age of workers making any/all of our products. Therefore sweat shop free also means to us, that any person working on our clothing is not a child. for more information you can visit: www.nosweatapparel.com

Carbonfund
We are all responsible for climate change and we all must be part of the solution. Carbonfund makes it simple for anyone, or any organization, to reduce and offset their carbon emissions.
By offering a way for people or companies to track their carbon use, Carbonfund is helping to create a cleaner planet!

Rainforests are made of living carbon – more than 260 tonnes are locked away in each acre. Destroying them releases more climate warming CO2 each year than the entire USA.
Coolearth is a charity that protects endangered rainforest. This combats global warming, protects ecosystems and provides sustainable jobs for local people.
