Let me introduce myself:
My name is Nikiah Seeds and I am the mother of two beautiful children ages 9 and 5 and the owner of Mama Goddess Birth Shop.

Before opening my “cyber-doors” to Mama Goddess, I worked in my local community for many years as a Birth Doula (CD DONA), Childbirth Educator, Certified Birthing From Within mentor, Herbalist and Maternity Reflexologist.

As you can see the vision for Mama Goddess grew out many passions.
First and foremost was my interest and love for working with women in their Childbearing years, myself and my husband’s desire to birth our own children at home with Midwives, and our complete dedication to making a difference to our planet and future grandchildren.

I also wanted to see a Canadian place for parents to be, birthing professionals, and folks who care about the earth to come and be taken care of.
This meant to me, that Mama Goddess Birth shop become not just a place to buy Natural, Organic and unique items, but also a place to learn.

Once we began, we found out that it was easy to to locate local artists, and companies that shared the same vision for Fairly traded and organic products, as well as Sweat Shop free clothing. Creating a line of herbal teas for the childbearing year also tied into our vision of Organic and holistic products for women. See our Eco-policy for more information on our commitment to the earth.

With these key things set in place we began to look for a way to expand so we could to offer more information as a way of giving back..
As a result it was is with absolute excitement that Mama Goddess has paired up with Mother and Child Health. This seven year old web-site has been a place for hundreds of people around the globe to come and find articles from just about everything to do with pregnancy, natural parenting and more! This partnership allows Mama Goddess Birth Shop to further become a community for you!

Speaking of communities—they say it takes a community to raise a child, and it is our desire to grow this community and business in the same way.
