Many years ago a doula client of mine asked me if I had ever heard of a flower that will blossom after you buy it, that looked a little like a lotus flower.
She was planning to use the focal point of a flower opening to help her during her labour contractions and thought that it would be nice to watch a real flower open while she was in early labour.

I had no idea at the time where she could find such a flower, but recently I have seen these beautiful Blossoming flowers in health stores, so I decided to take a closer look and see if these might be what she was speaking about!

Designed by skilled artisans from Yunnan province in China, white tea leaves are hand tied with cotton thread around a delicate rosebud. As the tea flower blossoms into a spectacular visual bouquet, it imparts a mellow white flavor, a delicate rose aroma, and a smooth velvety flavor.

We have packaged these little blossoms in an organza pouch, along with a small affirmation card that reads ”Like a flower blossoming, I too am opening for my baby”
