*New*- Rebozos/Jias
A Rebozo is traditionally a Mexican shawl, used for many purposes, including carrying babies, as well as being used to help support women during the birthing process.
Traditionally Midwives, Mothers and Doulas around the world use the Rebozo to wrap around the pregnant mother in a way that serves as a support to her during labour.
Our Rebozos are made in Laos and traditionally are called Jias.
Working with the women in Laos has been an amazing journey. Traditionally Lao women would not use their woven fabric the way the traditional Mexican Rebozo is used but rather have their own sling that they use for carring their children.
However after making these beautiful Rebozos according to our specifications they have been curious as to how they are used and have tld us that the Laos name of shawls are Jias.
We are thrilled to be able to support the Laos women by paying them fairly according to Fair Trade ethics.
